  • In order to perform your duties well as ERO at times of calamities, it is of (vital) importance to keep your knowledge and skills up to date. The NIBHV certificate is valid for one year from the date of issuance of the certificate for that reason. Up to three months after that date of expiry has passed, you can take the refresher course to extend your certificate. During the refresher course it is tested whether you still maintain proficiency of the prescribed actions of first aid provisioning.

  • This refresher day is centred on refreshing your knowledge and skills as Emergency Response Officer (ERO). It is an alternating mix of theory and practice. The First-Aid room, the simulated victims and the Fire & Safety Training Centre are ready to receive you for the practical exercises!

    Topics

    • First aid (responding in a lifesaving manner – theory and practice)
    • Limitation and firefighting of a beginning fire (theory and practice)
