The objectives of the Engine Room Resource Management (ERM) are optimizing your knowledge and skills of leadership and teamwork at operational and management level on board merchant vessels.
During high risks and high work pressure an engine room team should be able to perform efficient and work safe at all times.
The course is in accordance with the Standards of Training, Certification and Watch keeping for Seafarers (STCW), 1978, as amended. According section A-III/1 and A-III/2 and A-III/6. The ERM course is type approved and accredited by Classification society DNV-GL.
During the four-day Engine room Resource Management (ERM) course you will encounter realistic exercises on our Full Mission Engine Room simulator. These exercises are based on already gained experienced knowledge in engine rooms

At the end of this course:
You are working as an engineer in the engine room of a merchant vessel or you are currently receiving education as an engineer at operational level or you have completed your engineer apprentice ship at sea.
You are working in the maritime sector and will be a part of an operational engine room team member.
Entry requirements | If you want to follow this course, then you need to be familiar familiarized with engine room activities on board. This experience is necessary in order to understand that leadership and teamwork are essential components at operational level. |
